My name is Nariya. I am 17 years old and in my last year of high school. I’m from Manitoba, Canada.

I’ve been into fitness since I was 11. I have goals to be a bodybuilder and enjoy the sport. Through my passion, I’ve been very tuned in with my body. I have no previous health issues. I did have a cyst on my ovaries when I was younger, but it went away. I’ve always had a heavy menstrual cycle, and for this I was prescribed Depo-Provera. After taking this, my period was very light and consistent.

I was on this medication for a year before the vaccine. I was against the vaccine at first, I believed I didn’t need it based on the science I had seen. It wasn’t until I lost three jobs and was kicked out of the gym that I felt forced to take it. My mental health was declining, I couldn’t participate in anything and I couldn’t cope financially anymore. I lived with my parents, but I had my own bills and a dog to take care of. I ran my bank account to nothing, and that’s when I decided I needed the vaccine to get back to work. At that point all my friends had gotten it, and they seemed fine. I thought maybe it was safe, and side effects would be rare.

On December 10th, 2021 I got the Pfizer vaccine. The next day I was allowed back to work for the first time. Throughout that day at work I started menstrual bleeding. I thought it was normal at first, but it became really heavy and odd. A couple of days into it I had big clots coming out. That’s when I started to get worried.

On January 12th, 2022 I went into the ER. I had been passing out a lot, feeling fatigue and still bleeding. The doctor did an ultrasound and blood work. At a later ER visit they said my haemoglobin was fine, but that they would put me on the post vaccine bleeding protocol which was three months of progesterone. This spoke volumes to me, that it must be happening more frequently than what was being presented in the media. They are making these symptoms seem so rare, but then tell me there’s a post vaccine bleeding protocol?

Fast forward to today. I’m still bleeding and clotting. I get bad abdominal cramps. It’s like a period from hell. Within the first couple of months I had lost 40 pounds, and was nauseous all the time. I started getting random bruises all over me, these still persist. Sometimes the bruises are huge, like half of my leg, and sometimes it’s just a tiny cluster of them.

So far I’ve seen 11 doctors. The worst experience was with a gynaecologist. She told me I would be examined, so I changed into a gown. After reading my chart, she refused to examine me. She told me I was stressed. She said that was all that was wrong with me and walked out. I can’t help but think it was because I told the nurse in the consultation the symptoms started right after the vaccine.

I’ve been open and honest with the doctors, and they all tell me it’s not possible that it’s related to the vaccine and that it’s a total fluke. I feel that being medical professionals they should at least consider the chances. It makes me not trust them.

I’ve repeatedly had bloodwork and ultrasounds with no conclusive results. They thought at one point I had deep vein thrombosis (DVT) causing my bruises. The blood clots that come out of me can be tiny, or very large. Sometimes I pass out from the blood loss. I’ve lost my job again from my health issues. I was so skinny and underweight, and I had the worst energy levels. I could not continue.

I have a team of doctors in Winnipeg, a haematologist, a gynaecologist, and an adolescent medicine doctor. They have run many tests and still cannot figure out what is wrong, or offer me any help. They’ve prescribed medication to reduce my symptoms and have tried several different hormone medications, with no success. I’m currently on Tranexamic Acid for the fourth time. This is for heavy trauma bleeding, which is very concerning to me. It also hasn’t helped.

I track my calories and take vitamins and minerals every day. I’m very health-conscious. My doctor has told me the only reason why I haven’t had to have a blood transfusion yet is because of my diet.

Four other girls in my high school are experiencing the same symptoms. One girl lost 70 pounds and no one is correlating it to the vaccine. The only reason I know about these girls is because when I spoke out on my Instagram they messaged me to say they were going through it too.

These symptoms have completely knocked me off my feet. I have no job and poor health with no answers. It has stripped me of my goals and dreams for fitness. I wanted to go to medical school, but after my experiences through this journey I have lost respect for the profession. Lately I’ve been working really hard to gain the weight back, and start lifting again. I’ve managed to put back on 26 pounds, but it’s a struggle. I’m eating 3000 calories a day.

I’m happy the mandates have dropped, because I fear if I had to get a second vaccine it would kill me.

  1. Thank you for your bravery to speak out about your extremely bad reaction. Stay strong and remember you are not alone. Your body can heal. I’ve heard people had success with vitamin D 5000 IU, zinc 15 mg and CoQ10 or quercetin (sorry I don’t know the dosage). Liquid iron will also be important to avoid anemia. All the best to you.

Thank you for sharing, I have had similar experiences to you, but never been vaccinated. I had covid feb 2020 with more severe outcomes 2 months later…period heavier, more clotting….and also on transanemic acid….was hoping to reach out to you.
