Hello my name is Angelika, I’m 25 years old from Ontario. I got the Pfizer vaccine on November 16, 2021. Ten days after my vaccine my health problems started.

On November 26th, I was going to visit a friend and I started to feel like I was going to black out. I turned to go back home and while I was waiting for the other subway I got really dizzy. I was not well the whole night and felt very dehydrated.

The next day was a Saturday morning. I felt better, but that night it started happening again. I didn’t go to a hospital or see a doctor because I thought it was going to pass. That same week it kept on happening – maybe around three out of the seven days where I felt disconnected from the world. I didn’t feel the same in my body, health-wise. I was tired more frequently and easily. My left arm felt cold, and the vaccine area felt weird. I had a dry mouth, nausea, lots of neck and shoulder pain traveling down my lower back, and my fingers felt weird pushing against things like car doors at times – like a prickly feeling. I couldn’t focus, I had brain fog, lots of chest pains and loss of appetite. I also felt my heart racing.

On January 27th I went to the hospital because I started having a tingly feeling in my left arm and felt like I was going to black out. On the way I felt my heart beating very fast. I’ve never experienced this before. I thought that was it. I got to the hospital, and they kept me there for 5 or 6 hours before sending me home, saying they don’t know what’s going on. They wanted to rule it out as anxiety.

I have been trying to get other doctors’ opinions with the same outcome, even when I don’t mention the vaccine. I’ve never experienced anxiety. Some doctors want to blame my symptoms on Covid. After having a stress test on February 18th, that same night I started to feel out of control. By Saturday I had a fever, and my boyfriend wanted me to see a doctor because my temperature was around 39°C with lots of joint pain and massive headaches.

I went to the clinic and they told me to wait in the car, and that the doctor will call me. The doctor diagnosed me with Covid without testing me. She said she couldn’t give me any medication or specific advice, but to just take over the counter medication – and if it gets worse then to go to the hospital. I did take an at-home Covid test and it was negative. I’m currently on a medication called propranolol to lower my heart rate down because they noticed on the heart monitor it was higher than it should be. I’ve been taking this medication since March.

I’m currently speaking with a neurologist who diagnosed me with migraines because I have massive headaches. It feels as if the veins in my head will explode. I mentioned the fever that happened after my stress test to the doctor at the hospital, and she said there’s no connection to it. I’m feeling hopeless because no one is helping me.

Things have gotten a little better with the medication I’m currently taking, but every week it still feels as though something is wrong with my heart, and I feel disconnected from everything.

It’s June 2nd, 2022 as I’m writing this and I have an appointment on June 30th with my neurologist. I’m afraid when she takes me off the medication I will relapse completely because I don’t feel right still to this day. I can’t jog for even 5 minutes as my heart can’t handle it, and I get massive headaches.

I asked to be referred to a cardiologist or to do more tests, and the hospital doctor refused. She said there’s nothing wrong. When I asked for my blood test results she said she didn’t know how to print out the paper but that everything is normal. I’ve had no medical history involving anything before the vaccine. I was a healthy individual. I want to reach out and see if there’s anybody else going through a similar situation as me, and how they are doing.
